On May 15, 2018, the second edition of the Business Excellence Forum took place in Chisinau, attended by representatives of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and Romania, business environment, investors and support organizations in the field of entrepreneurship in the two countries. The event aimed to promote the economic opportunities offered by the Republic of Moldova to Romanian companies.
In the Forum, Mr. Constantin Vieru, President of the Moldova-Romania Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that " Business Excellence Forum " is a unique and excellent platform for conducting an open and constructive dialogue, where the new opportunities offered by Republic of Moldova can be presented.
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Chiril Gaburici also mentioned that Moldovan-Romanian commercial-economic relations are constantly on the rise, Romania ranked third in the top of the countries that have invested in the economy of the Republic Moldova. In his speech, Mr. Chiril Gaburici said that "Moldova is attractive as an investment platform, we want Romanian companies to be located in industrial parks, we want to capitalize on all opportunities for the benefit of both countries."
Mr. Danuţ Andruşca, Minister of Economy of Romania, reiterated that the development of bilateral relations with the Republic of Moldova is a priority for the authorities in Bucharest. At the same time, the Romanian official launched a message of encouragement for the Romanian companies urging them to cross the Prut river to strengthen the "economic brotherhood".
ODIMM Program Coordinator, Ms. Oxana Paladiciuc, said that in the Republic of Moldova SMEs are a key sector of the economy and presented the ODIMM-managed support programs that have an impact on the development of the environment entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova. In this regard, the focus was on the PARE 1 + 1 remittance program, the Loan Guarantee Fund, the Business Incubators, the "Women in Business" pilot program and the Enterprise Europe Network.
The event was organized by the Moldova - Romania Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Development through the European Enterprise Network (EEN) having Moldova Technology Transfer Network as a co-organizer of this event as a member of EEN.
The Enterprise Europe Network is a key instrument in the EU's strategy to boost growth and jobs. Bringing together around 600 business support organisations from more than 60 countries, the EEN help small companies seize the unparalleled business opportunities in the EU Single Market.
