Initiated in June 2014, the project "Innovative Diaspora of the Republic of Moldova" (INDP) is a flagship initiative coordinated by the Moldovan Technology Transfer Network(MTTN) in cooperation with Entranse Moldova. INDP Initiative aims to assist residents of the Soroca Business Incubator (IAS) to improve the services and products provided by them by creating and supporting sustainable partnerships between residents IAS and highly skilled diaspora of Moldova (successful entrepreneurs).
This report reflects the measures in which were completed the following activities:
One. Achieving a study visit at the Business Incubator in Soroca to assist residents IAS INDP project beneficiaries to complete and standardize their organizational profile which will be disseminated to national and international partners in order to build international partnerships
Taking into consideration that in the first phase of the project for some of the beneficiaries of the project was very difficult to develop and internationalize their businesses and it was difficult to find the ways in which they can overcome in collaboration with colleagues in the Diaspora, was decided to continue the discussion on the subject of international cooperation and development, and identify how they can contribute to business development. The more prepared in terms of conceptual and practical involvement in international cooperation with qualified Moldovan diaspora were three representatives of Moldovan companies: SRL Bevera North, II Simon Ţimpov and SRL Possibly.
Together they identified the strengths, the organization's main weaknesses, level of international exposure, future vision and needs for external assistance. Also have been addressed topics related to the most effective tools for cooperation and transfer of knowhow. Most beneficiaries have highlighted some of them, among which
a) short-term visits of foreign experts resident in the organization;
b) short visits for documentation of the residents to the host institution member of the diaspora;
c) Common Workshops with diaspora.
All these issues were proposed to be included in the revised version of IAS business profile of residents. Also, following discussions it was decided to identify practical opportunities to initiate partnerships with diaspora representatives in the first stage using diaspora networks in Italy (Rome) and the UK (Liverpool).
